Well, I’m turning into a regular political blogger here. But this issue is both near and dear to me, and critical to our city.

On January 22, Nashville is holding a special election to vote on two referenda:

  • One to make English the only language used by Metro government, with very, very limited exceptions
  • One to make it easier to change the Metro charter by public ballot

I’m working to urge people to vote no on both counts.

I’ll write more later — I am afraid I’ll actually be quite long-winded about the topic. (Remember SSA, anyone?? There’s another one of those coming.)
